This week, retail giants from around the world convene in Dubai in a 3-day annual prestigious event: The World Retail Congress. The event will run from 4th to 6th April 2017 at the Luxurious Medinat Jumeira Resort. The congress has been running for the last 10 years and this year’s will be the 11th version, sponsored by among others, The Boston Consulting Group, IBM and McKinsey. It attracts the most senior of Retailers from across the world. This year’s theme is “Re-Imagining the Customer Experience”.

To put the icing on the cake, there is an “International Women in Retail” event also planned this year. This will be a Networking and Mentoring evening, planned for women who are interested. Jo Malone MBE will be interviewed and obviously she is the highlight for this up-close event which will be held at the Burj Al Arab, the World’s only 7 Star Hotel.
